International artists/groups were invited to work on themes and sites explored by a preparatory research (e.g. sports events, urban music and dance cultures, expropriation/re-appropriation, monuments, passages/arcades, surveillance, underground, waste land, demonstration, breakdance, parkour, etc.). The artistic practice in the city will reflect on structures and conditions of movement and behavior in urban space. Moments of aesthetic experience will intensify the perception of contexts that have become invisible, forgotten or suppressed. During the conference these experiences will be discussed in panels and working groups, relating current developments to broader theoretical questions.n |
